A first-person clicker game which shows how easily mis-, mal-, disinformation and fake news can spread across the globe.
This is my internship project from Japan where I worked on with a variety of peers. The topic of my game was “The development of serious games aimed at improving metacognitive abilities”. By simply clicking on an in-game share button (just like on social media) you help a message/post gain traction via the algorithm. I then show how easily different forms of mass communication influence how quickly a message/post can go viral.
In September 2025 I was able to exhibit this game at the Tokyo Game Show with everyone from my internship as part of the definite ending of this project.
Setting up and maintaining a long term project
Working with diegetic UI
Cross-cultural communication with client
Exhibiting at the Tokyo Game Show 2025
Sometimes a random idea turns out worth exploring. The clicker game was just a fleeting thought but ended up being perfect for what I wanted to accomplish.
